The Chef….in the kitchen. LOL @ the ebonics in the beginning but I like how Rae is showing a more personable side of himself. – DREA

Lil Kim Rejects Notorious (so do I)
I see where Kim is coming from actually. Cheo Hodari Coker, the writer of this utterly wack Notorious film, is full of shit. The movie depicts Kim, at best, as a glorified jump off (and I’m actually being generous). If I remember correctly, Biggie smashed before a first date. Hell, a meet up at a Mickey D’s drive thru would have been less presumptuous on Kim’s part. I’d be irate if I was Kim too. I’m not saying that her portrayal wasn’t believable because much of Biggie’s audience probably already made that assumption about their relationship way before this film.
But I’m actually not that concerned about Kim’s portrayal in the film. It’s really the fact that Coker screwed up what could have been a decent film on one of our great MCs. I was honestly left a little disheartened after seeing this flick. The entire film was basically a mélange of scenes that did nothing but rehash all of the things we already knew or assumed about Biggie (ex. Kim and Pac’s portrayal). Not to mention the extreme bias in point of view. Apparently, even Charlie Baltimore was surprised that the major car crash she and Biggie experienced got no reference whatsoever in the film. Mind you this was a car crash that left Big hospitalized in critical condition (remember his cane in Life after Death?) and was the reason his last album ended up being a double disc LP. So thanks for the lazy ass script writing Coker. I’ll never forgive you for depicting Pac in such an asinine way. – DREA
NOTORIOUS
This film is glaringly straight to DVD worthy. My main gripe with this movie is the casting choices (among other things) yet Bassett and Luke are the only reasons I’d go see it (which I most likely will). Go figure. – DREA
